Set within short proximity to Llandudno sea front. There is signage at the front of the building. The nearest bus stop is situated in Trinity Avenue approx .02k from the Glenavon at the bottom of St. Marys Road. The railway station is aprox .05k and the nearest taxi office King Kabs is situated at the traffic lights at the junction of Madoc Street and Trinity Avenue approx .03k from the Glenavon.


Parking facilities are provided on a private driveway at the guesthouse for up to 4 cars.

The driveway has a level and even tarmac surface and lighting is provided.

Parking in the street on which Glenavon is situated is free and unlimited. However, proprietors have no influence over reserving parking spaces.

From the driveway there is a step of 90mm high to the main entrance door. Nosing is not highlighted and there is no andrail at present.

There is a threshold of approximately 30mm over the door.

The main entrance door is a manual door with a clear opening of 900mm wide.

There is an internal door on entry; this door has a clear opening of 800mm wide.

Both doors have glassviewing panels.

There is a door bell available for alerting assistance (1300mm high).


Reception is easily identifiable on entry. There is no glass screen present. The reception desk is 1050mm high; however, if this is not suitable an alternative location could be used. Lighting is adequate in this area. Flooring consists of carpet and is level throughout.

CHIP and PIN facilities are available. Seating is provided in this area. There is a pay phone available at counter height.


The door in the breakfast room is 750mm wide with a contrasting lever handle. Flooring consists of carpet and is level throughout. Manoeuvrability is fair and all furniture is unfixed so can be moved to create more space if necessary. Chairs have firm back support and chairs with arms can be made available on request. Some tables have legs positioned at the corners. Colour contrasting between the tale and the tableware is fair. Table service is provided.


Entry from reception is level. Colour contrasting in the room is fair. Flooring consists of carpet and is level throughout. Manoeuvrability is good and furniture is unfixed so could be moved to create more space if required. Lighting is adequate with additional lamps available if required. There is a communal TV(with freeview) and DVD provided, both are remote operated and teletext/subtitle facilities are available. There is a communal Hi Fi with CD player provided, both can be remotely operated.


From the hallway there are 13 steps, then a left turn and a further 4 steps to the first floor. From the first floor, there are 11 steps then a left turn and a further 4 steps onto the second floor. Steps measure consistently at 845mm wide, 240mm deep and 170mm high. The stairs have a carpet surface, nosings are not highlighted. There is a wooden handrail on the left hand side (ascending).


There is a family suite and two double rooms on the first floor and there is a single, a double and a twin bedroom on the second floor, all with private en-suite facilities. Some details on 1 of the double rooms on the first floor are outlined below, however, if you would like any information on any of the other rooms; please do not hesitate to contact us.


On the 1st floor (double room with en-suite). The doorway into the bedroom is 740mm wide and has a contrasting lever handle. Flooring consists of carpet and is level throughout. Manoeuvrability is limited but all furniture is unfixed and could be moved if necessary. As well as the main lighting additional bedside lighting is provided. Light switches contrast in colour to the walls and are situated at 1380mm high. The bed has a height of approximately 520mm. Storage is available at a range of heights but furniture handles are not ideal in terms of their grip and visibility. TV facilities are provided, which is remote operated and has subtitle/teletex facilities available. There is a cordless kettle provided. There is a tilting mirror provided.

EN-SUITE (Room 3)

The door into the bathroom is 640mm wide, with a contrasting lever handle and bolt lock. Flooring consists of lino and is level throughout. Manoeurability is limited. The toilet is approximately 440mm high. There is no height adjuster available and there are no grab rails around the toilet. There is a glass door for access into the shower which has a clear opening of 530mm. The step into the shower is 160mm high, however controls are lever action, and are set at approximately 1230mm high. The shower head is adjustable and detachable. There are no grabrails in the shower. The sink is a basin with pedestal and taps are twist action.


Assistance with luggage is provided.

A wheelchair is available for guest use.

Checking in/out times are 10.00am and 10.30am, however these times can be flexible with prior notice.

Fire alarms are audiable only, however we do recognise that some people may have specific requirements and advise guests to discuss this at the earliest convenience to ensure that mutually satisfactory procedures are put in place in the event of an emergency.
